As a part of a similar exercise, FlippAR was invited to address a group of 12 students from the 6th grade through a workshop. The topic of discussion being – the nature of Augmented Reality and how it is being used across the world. The students were walked through the wondrous ways in which city governments and global retail brands have used AR experiences to reach out to the masses. Another topic of discussion was FlippAR’s association with the Government of Karnataka, and the AR projects which were created under this association.
The excitement of the students was evident as they were introduced to the world of FlippAR, its tools, and the newly launched Interactive Postcards. The workshop received a very enthusiastic response from the students, who used FlippAR’s AR features to create their own experiences. The group went around the school recognising points of interest, clicking pictures, and making videos with the staff and faculty, which they later uploaded to the app’s dashboard. These experiences are now accessible to anyone who visits the school.
A student from the group also created a beautiful postcard for the school, which will soon be made interactive.
