\u201cPledge2Protect\u201d is a public initiative by FlippAR aimed towards establishing sustainable tourism in the country. With these initiatives, FlippAR has reached out to several children, enabling them to explore various public spaces in the city while building awareness on the conservation of heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n Previously, students from Samriddhi School were taken to Cubbon Park, where they got to explore the history and significance behind the many statues, and other nearby structures such as the State Central Library, the Attara Kacheri (High Court), and the Vidhana Soudha.<\/span><\/p>\n This time, students of Rotary Bangalore Vidyalaya were taken to Lal Bagh botanical gardens, where they unlocked stories about of some of the key spots in the garden, such as the iconic Glass House, the geological treasure of the Lalbagh Rock, and the Kempegowda Tower. <\/span><\/p>\n The children were thrilled to learn that the Glass House was based upon the famous Crystal House in London; and they were awestruck to find out that the famous rock at Lalbagh was approximately 3.4 Billion years old. Apart from these, the children also learnt many facts about the flora at the garden, such as the Fossil Tree and the Ashoka Tree.
